Seriously, take a look at this guy. I mean, really, who does that?
George Cockburn, Admiral of Her Majesty’s Empire’s Fleet, led the charge to occupy — and burn the public and government buildings in — the young capital city of Washington during the War of 1812. The White House and Capitol Building were torched down to their limestone skeletons, Pennsylvania Avenue was decimated — and this guy has this scene of awfulness used as the backdrop to his own heroic pose. Whatta jerk!
